The cogency and effectiveness of this alliance can be best expressed through their joint development of the ‘landing zone.’ This unique innovation is a cloud foundation that offers distinct advantages. It bolsters Volkswagen’s multi-cloud application strategies with its inherent capabilities like interoperability, flexibility, security, and robustness.
Renowned for its stringent adherence to quality processes, Volkswagen, as a process-driven organization, required a unified approach to IT. Harnessing the power of multi-cloud strategies provided them with an ideal solution. It streamlined work operations, mitigated potential risks, and enriched user experiences by maintaining consistency and reducing complexities.
Notably, T-Systems played a pivotal role in actualizing this partnership. Drawing from its thorough understanding of Google Cloud and Agile methodologies, T-Systems steered the collaboration with Volkswagen in the right direction. They were instrumental in creating a proof of concept (POC), ensuring the skillset transfer, and keeping the project on track despite challenges.
A key highlight of this collaboration was the implementation of the Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) as the heart of application deployment, scaling, and management. In the bid for IT modernization, Volkswagen Group, Google Cloud, and T-Systems have demonstrated a successful model of collaboration to tackle digital transformation challenges.
