Google Cloud Console, with its plethora of functionalities across multiple products, had room for improvements in search and navigation to help users seamlessly access information about different services. Expanded Resource-Type Search
One of the major enhancements is the expanded resource-type search, which now covers over 120 Google Cloud products. This feature allows users to find resources directly from the search bar, saving significant time as they don’t have to manually sift through product pages. It streamlines the entire process, giving users more time to focus on other important tasks.
Improved Documentation Search
The documentation search has also seen a significant upgrade, with better coverage and accuracy. It is now easier than ever for users to find specific pages, tutorials, or guides by simply searching within the console. A Refreshed Search Results Page
The search results page has undergone a makeover, sporting a new layout with divided results into tabs, much like Google’s web search. This new layout allows users to browse through search results more easily, as each category (such as resources and documentation) can be viewed separately. Additionally, unique filtering experiences are now offered for each search result category, such as filtering by metadata for the Resources tab or searching for interactive tutorials only in the Documentation tab.
