Mixboard made its public debut at the International Conference of New Interfaces for Musical Expression (NIME 2023), where the team presented their research paper, “Mixboard—A Co-Creative Mashup Application for Novices.” The app encourages users to experiment with songs from Spotify or its internal music library, dissecting tracks into their primary components, including vocals, bass, chords, and drums.
