As Seen On

Newly graduated with a degree in marketing and operations management, many expected Carey to join the retail juggernaut, Walmart. However, she chose a different path, instead beginning her corporate journey with Citigroup, undergoing a rigorous asset manager training program. Unconventional as it was, managing a team of telecallers within Citigroup’s credit card division provided her with invaluable lessons that significantly propelled her career growth.

Driven by the thirst for a challenging role, Carey entered the start-up world with MRP, a promising teleprospecting firm. Starting out as a telecalling executive, her agility and ambition led her to climb the corporate ladder rapidly. The challenges of selling intricate products such as Microsoft Dynamics and SAP ERP solutions and recruiting a robust team for the firm’s growth provided her with a deep understanding of the demanding spectrum of business to business (B2B) marketing.

One of the critical evolutions in Carey’s career was navigating MRP’s transition towards a digital suite of services. The company divested from traditional teleprospecting and expanded its horizons by acquiring two innovative companies. Their focus now rested on syndication display advertising, email nurture, intent data, and predictive analytics. Paving the digital path for MRP heightened Carey’s proficiency in navigating, understanding, and adapting to technological advancements.

Adding another feather to her hat, Carey’s marketing prowess was recognized globally when she was appointed as the Global Sales Head for MRP. Her role required extensive travel and interaction with diverse business cultures and taught her the art of managing clients and teams worldwide.

After an impressive tenure of 16 years with MRP, Carey’s thirst for exploring new challenges remained insatiable. So, she took the bold decision to leave the company where she had thrived for years. She chose to step into the unknown, a testament to her constant ambition for career growth and adaptation.

Inevitably, this next chapter signified a significant learning curve – through failure. Carey’s subsequent venture might not have met business success, but it presented her with a different perspective, reminding her that failure, too, is a stepping stone to success.

In sum, Kristin Carey’s journey is a testament to the vitality of embracing diverse roles, harnessing key learnings from every experience – successes, and failures alike, and constantly seeking growth and adaptation in the evolving landscape of marketing. Her career path stands as an inspiring guide for those navigating through the demanding yet rewarding realm of B2B marketing. As Carey succinctly puts it, “every failure is a stepping stone towards success, and every challenge holds a profitable lesson.”

Up until working with Casey, we had only had poor to mediocre experiences outsourcing work to agencies. Casey & the team at CJ&CO are the exception to the rule.

Communication was beyond great, his understanding of our vision was phenomenal, and instead of needing babysitting like the other agencies we worked with, he was not only completely dependable but also gave us sound suggestions on how to get better results, at the risk of us not needing him for the initial job we requested (absolute gem).

This has truly been the first time we worked with someone outside of our business that quickly grasped our vision, and that I could completely forget about and would still deliver above expectations.

I honestly can't wait to work in many more projects together!
