As Seen On

Are you looking for a new way to share your life with your followers on Instagram? If so, consider using Instagram stories.

Instagram stories are a popular feature that allows users to share photos and videos that disappear after 24 hours.

This temporary nature of stories makes them a great way to share glimpses of your life, promote events, or give your followers a behind-the-scenes look at what you’re up to.

But Instagram stories are more than just a way to share fleeting moments. With various creative tools and features at your disposal, you can use stories to create engaging and dynamic content that will keep your followers coming back for more.

In this blog post, we’ll take a closer look at Instagram stories and explore ways you can use them to connect with your followers and grow your following.

How Long Do Instagram Stories Last?

As mentioned, stories disappear after 24 hours. Any content you post to your story will only be visible to your followers for a day before it disappears into the ether.

There are a few exceptions to this rule, however. If you add a photo or video to your story and then save it to your device or Instagram account, it will no longer be considered a “story” and remain visible indefinitely. Similarly, if you use Instagram’s “Highlights” feature to save a story to your profile, it will remain visible until you delete it.

It’s also worth noting that while stories are only visible to your followers for 24 hours, they can still be viewed by anyone who has a direct link to the story. If you share a link to a specific story with someone, they can view it even if it has already disappeared from your profile.

What is the length of Instagram Stories?

Each Instagram story lasts for 15 seconds – 60 seconds, depending on what you have posted. If you have posted a video within 60 secs, it will be posted as one story, but if you have posted a photo, it will only last 15 seconds.

There are certain quirks to this as well.

If you share a reel or a story mention that is longer than 15 secs, it will be cut off. Only stories posted via your account will last longer than 15 seconds.

Overall, the length of your Instagram story is up to you and will depend on the content you want to share and the message you want to convey. You can use a single photo or video to make a quick update or create a longer story by adding multiple photos and videos to your story. The choice is yours!

The Bottom Line:

Overall, Instagram stories are a great way to share quick updates and glimpses of your life with your followers. Remember that they only last for 24 hours, so post content that you’re comfortable with disappearing after a day.

Up until working with Casey, we had only had poor to mediocre experiences outsourcing work to agencies. Casey & the team at CJ&CO are the exception to the rule.

Communication was beyond great, his understanding of our vision was phenomenal, and instead of needing babysitting like the other agencies we worked with, he was not only completely dependable but also gave us sound suggestions on how to get better results, at the risk of us not needing him for the initial job we requested (absolute gem).

This has truly been the first time we worked with someone outside of our business that quickly grasped our vision, and that I could completely forget about and would still deliver above expectations.

I honestly can't wait to work in many more projects together!
