The company has built an ML platform on Amazon SageMaker. Enel primarily collects data and imagery from two distinct sources: aerial network inspections backed by LiDAR point clouds and satellite images. LiDAR point clouds provide precise 3D reconstructions, translating to high accuracy in data analysis. They are paired with high-resolution images that help identify elements and anomalies overlooked by the point cloud due to size constraints.

On the other hand, power line inspections using satellite images exhibit limitations due to their resolution and quality. While they provide broad spatial overview and are cost-effective, the resolution often lacks the necessary detail for accurate analysis.
