Enhancing Private Communication: Unveiling the Power of Private Service Connect (PSC)
As Seen On
Components of PSC:
Every intricate mechanism of PSC is designed towards making the interaction between service consumers and service providers as optimized as possible:
Service Consumers: With PSC, consumers gain entry to managed services via a private IP within their own VPC. This ensures that the communication between consumers & producers just got easier, faster, and safer.
Service Producers: The capability to expose services to consumers via ‘service attachments’ adds another layer of efficiency to the entire process.
Service Attachments: These play a vital role. They link to producer load balancers and apply robust security through a consumer accept list.
Endpoints: As private IP addresses in a consumer VPC, they map to a service attachment and guide appropriate requests.
Backends: Backends operate via PSC Network Endpoint Groups. These groups refer to a producer service attachment or a regional Google API, making operations smoother.
Google API: These are services, created by Google and accessible via public API, residing on the Google Network, for an ultimate trust factor.
Published Services: Services not classified as Google APIs fall under this category.
Benefits of PSC:
Possessing private direct connectivity is just one of the many benefits PSC provides. It does away with overlapping IP constraints, enabling a steady flow of communication. The capacity to enforce an authorization control means your communication is private and well-protected. What’s more, PSC promises enhanced line-rate performance, ushering in efficiency and speed.
Connecting Consumer to Producer:
PSC allows the choice to connect to a producer by creating an endpoint or a backend, targeting necessary services. Here are a couple of different scenarios:
Case #1: Consumers using endpoints to published service. The published services are targeted directly, increasing response time.
Case #2: Consumers using backend to published service. Backends offer a streamlined process of reaching to the necessary services.
Case #3: Hybrid consumer using a global access endpoint. This provides broader access, allowing more flexibility in consumers’ reach.
Consider leveraging the possibilities that PSC offers today. We can’t wait to hear about your experience!
Casey Jones
Up until working with Casey, we had only had poor to mediocre experiences outsourcing work to agencies. Casey & the team at CJ&CO are the exception to the rule.
Communication was beyond great, his understanding of our vision was phenomenal, and instead of needing babysitting like the other agencies we worked with, he was not only completely dependable but also gave us sound suggestions on how to get better results, at the risk of us not needing him for the initial job we requested (absolute gem).
This has truly been the first time we worked with someone outside of our business that quickly grasped our vision, and that I could completely forget about and would still deliver above expectations.
I honestly can't wait to work in many more projects together!
